Over the last 3 decades, Eric Werling has served the housing industry in various leadership roles with 4 game-changing national programs, including Building America, Zero Energy Ready Homes, Indoor airPLUS, and Energy Star. These popular voluntary programs helped make energy efficiency & indoor air quality (IAQ) visible and measurable, and helped cut home energy use in half, increase durability and resilience of American homes, and prove that construction businesses & trades can manage innovation risks profitably. Today, Eric is owner of the consulting firm Home Innovation Strategies, LLC, where he continues to help transform the housing industry toward more efficient, healthy, resilient, and sustainable homes. Eric is also proud to be a Navy veteran, a band leader, a father of twins, and a grandpa.
