Julie E. Olive is the Majority Owner of GreenHome South LLC and a dual BPI-certified Building Analyst Technician (BAT) and Professional (BAP). A veteran of the weatherization industry since 2011, Julie has transitioned from administrative leadership to founding GreenHome South in 2019, where she now pilots cutting-edge energy efficiency solutions across Georgia. Her firm was the inaugural participant in Georgia Power’s 2020 income-qualified programs and continues to lead in the GEFA HER/HEAR pilot initiatives.
Currently, Julie serves as a key partner in the Southern Company Workforce Development Initiative pilot in cooperation with Groundswell, a role that underscores her commitment to building a diverse, highly skilled industry. Under her leadership, GreenHome South has become a premier training ground for women in building performance; the company is majority woman-owned, with women holding the majority of senior leadership roles and four out of five certified assessor positions. Julie remains dedicated to using building science to fight high utility costs while expanding career pathways for women and minorities in the South.
