Jim Plantico is a Program Director for Community Energy Project (CEP), an Oregon nonprofit that partners with low-income communities on the frontlines of climate change to create more resilient, efficient, and healthy homes. Before joining CEP, Jim owned a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified residential contracting firm specializing in whole-home energy efficiency remodels. Jim also serves on the High Road Advisory Council for contractor and workforce development standards for the Portland Clean Energy and Community Benefits Fund (PCEF). Jim holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon. Outside of work, Jim is an avid cook focused on food waste prevention. His personal interest in sustainable living reflects his professional dedication to basic needs: the simple joy of a full stomach and the fundamental dignity of a secure, comfortable home.
