Scott Horowitz is a senior research engineer in the Residential Building Research Group at the National Laboratory of the Rockies, where he focuses on residential building energy modeling and software. He is passionate about improving the accuracy, consistency, and capability of government and industry modeling software tools. He leads or contributes to the development of many software tools, modeling workflows, and data transfer standards, including Home Energy Score, BEopt, ResStock, Energy Rating Index (ERI), Home Performance XML (HPXML), and Weatherization Assistant.
