Destiny Murrell serves as the Weatherization Workforce and Community Liaison and Energy Program Planner at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce (ODOC). She has been with ODOC for three years and leads initiatives that expand workforce opportunities within the Weatherization Assistance Program, particularly for individuals and communities facing barriers to employment. Destiny also collaborates with national and regional partners to advance workforce development strategies and promote career pathways within the energy efficiency sector. Through partnerships with businesses, community action agencies, educational institutions, and workforce organizations, Destiny works to strengthen the energy efficiency workforce across Oklahoma. She is currently involved in developing training programs that equip participants with energy efficiency skills and connect them directly with employment opportunities.
Destiny holds a Master of Legal Studies from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science from Langston University. With experience in legislative and grant writing development, she brings a strong understanding of policy, workforce development, and community engagement. She is committed to advancing initiatives that strengthen Oklahoma’s workforce while supporting sustainable energy programs that benefit communities across the state.
