This session will cover the processes that I have put in place in order to sell, design, install and commission measured high performance HVAC systems.
Design: How to see what is possible in a home to meet your client's goals. Sale: Techniques for explaining your plan to make a sale. How to differentiate yourself with better design/ideas.
Design: How to make sure you do a great design but get paid to do it every time. The design only comes after a contract. Manual J room by room. Install: Tactics to assure high performance systems with measured results. Make sure your crew has the design, training and supplies (on time) to complete the project. Commissioning: This is where it all comes together. Measure your outputs to assure you are actually delivering performance. If your measurements fall short of your goals, make adjustments and measure again. Learn from your mistakes and feedback to design and install to assure better performance out of future systems. I will go over what to measure. Basics - duct leakage and air balancing. Advanced: delivered btu/hr measurements and data logging.
